HAI GAIZ

HAI GAIZ, I'm jy once again. not. Dneo's back! Zomgzomgzomg. Yea it's really me. Really. Yea, and as jy said, I'm back from the F1 race.

My father somehow randomly got 2x 3-day pass to the F1 race, and so my family of 5+1 decided to go there in pairs of 2. Bro went with gf, mom went with dad, so that leaves me to go with my sis. The event started really early, 3+pm i think, but we were slackers so we decided to go there at around 6pm instead. Okay, so what's there to do at the 2008 Formula 1® (Singtel) Singapore Night Race? Here's a list of what we did:
1. Cam whore on trip there
2. Find gate
3. Cam whore in front of gate
4. Go past gate (got back check so I didnt bother bringing a bag, just dump everything into sis' bag)
5. Cam whore past gate
6. Get lost in human river - we went downstream the wrong way for like 150 metres, then cross over and went back the other way
7. Cross temporary overhead 4-man-wide bridge that is covered up so it makes it look like we're crossing over. (Imagine a white overhead bridge. The sides are covered up. It is narrow. You are waking along it. There are people walking the other way on the other side. It is relatively dark. The only lights are those coming from above. Shining through the overhead fence.) I swear it gives me a creepy feeling.
8. Go to esplanade
9. Cam whore in front of esplanade
10. RACE STARTS (or rather, practice run starts)
11. Watch cars zoom past
12. Watch more cars zoom past
13. Attempt to take pics of cars
14. Cam whore to celebrate SUCCESS
15. Walk around cause bored
16. See tourists get ripped off by exorbitant prices ($3 for bottled coke, $2 bottled water, $5 for random cake, $??? for tiger beer)
17. See every white male tourist from the western isles hold a cup of tiger beer
18. Somehow arrive at padang
19. Laugh at extorbitant prices of the food republic stalls there ($8 small $10 large)
20. Watch the big screen at the padang (place reminds me of Nike 10k human race)
21. Cam whore between parts of watching the action unfold on the big screen
22. HUNGRY. So need to go back to marina square.
23. Repeat actions 1-21, minus actions 6, 13 and 14.
24. Get stuck in human jam after everything's over

The jam was really bad, imagine 5 thousand people, then imagine a temporary overhead bridge 4-man wide. Yea, THAT bad. Luckily, we managed to singaporean our way to the front, and we only got stuck in the jam for like 15 mins. I swear the last guy would have to wait at least 2 hours. Some semi-drunk western dudes were getting pissed, it was quite funnny. Oh, and my sis almost died from suffocation, cause shes quite short, and everyone else was towering above her. Including me. This is the typical situation, where 4 man can hold off an army, Singapore style. All we need to do is place 4 security guards in the centre of the bridge, and the whole swarm of 5k++ people would be stuck there FOREVARR. Ya.

Okay, thats it. I'll take my leave here. Gotta prepare for Japanese lessons zomgz. And english. And maybe econs. Or physics. Or math. =)

GUEST POST LOL

HI I'M JY
no really
do you think dneo talks like that, no way
no one could ever imitate the great and powerful troll that is yours truly
sup gaiz

so anyway you may ask SO JY WHY ARE YOU HERE INVADING DNEO'S BLOG, I MEAN AFTER ALL IT'S NOT YOUR BLOG AMIRITE. the answer is that the abovementioned noob is refusing to update his blog citing several reasons such as
1) sian
2) lazy
3) sian
4) went to sleep

note that it doesn't contain "i was too busy mugging". see you in focus camp dneo

getting back to the subject of a lack of posts, i decided on a whim of boredom that i would do a guest post which, dear reader, you are now reading, would revive this blog from being labeled under the "dead" section of people's links. not that anyone cares really but hey blogs have feelings too rite

thus the topic of this guest post will be *drumroll* LOLIS

i lied.

the real topic is actually on something that pertains to all of us and that we should all do well to learn a lesson from, for it is a major part of our life and the need for it is overwhelming in today's society. without training in having and using such an object effectively, it is unknown whether mankind could survive.

i am referring, of course, to social life.

i will now use TOK to attempt to justify the influence social life should have on our actions.

let us take person A as an example and compare him to person B and through the ways of knowing, come to a conclusion as to whether it is truly important or whether all those noobs who chill with the chix are bullshitting you.

person A derides the idea of having a social life. to him, a good life consists of the below (lists r gud)
1) LOLIS
2) gaems
3) moar lolis
4) no spoilers

since obviously if you have a social life they will spoil you on all the anime that you haven't watched because you are too lazy to get it yourself.

through reason, we can see that this person is clearly stupid because it only results in you being derided and laughed at and have no friends. which is bad. so emotion as a way of knowing also says that living your life with the motto "3d pig disgusting" is evidently fail.

let us now look at person B.

person B may be thought of as having too much social life. he attempts to know all the girls, even if they are ugly and fat, as those girls are more likely to talk to him. as long as it has a p**** he will attempt to get to know them because your e-peen is longer the more girls you are friends with ("friends" here having a very loose definition). this act makes B not very well liked (to put it mildly) due to society having created tags such as "loser", "despo", and other pleasant terms to describe people like this.

thus through reason we can tell that doing actions to make people laugh at you instead of with you does not help your situation as it only scares your intended targets (i.e. girls) away. and through emotion we can also tell that as no one likes being called a despo their entire time in school it is not a wise decision either. oh look i brought language in lol i r awesome.

so what should we do? personally (knower's perspective) i feel that a middle ground has to be found! some sort of social life is evidently essential to your development as a normal human being (note that normal is subjective). however, obviously too much of any good thing makes it bad (see: vitamin A, wine, cough medicine) and thus one should not try to the extremes that B is. (guess who! i bet you're wrong.)

therefore, you should L2AWESOME AND BE LIKE ME. i mean, no not really. you should all aim to be people like our fabulous ex head prefect and model student. this person
YAY MOAR LISTS
- gets the work done
- is an awesome person to hang out with
- has a pocket loli. i guess. lol person A r u jelusss

also there's this new phenomenon called facebook that claims to amplify your aims to be an all around c00l d00d but imo sticking your personal details on the intarweb in that manner is stupid so it's up to you to choose if you want to use it! however note that 90% of its users all claim to have had enhanced social lives due to being able to interact with friends and make new ones through a completely new and revolutionary medium that breaks down physical barriers, so you might want to consider it.

also note that 83% of all statistics are made up, true story.

thus person who is reading this right now, if you managed to last through all that

guess what

YHBT HAHAHA

just messin wit yo minds

stay tuned for guest post #2!

Sleep

Guess how long I slept yesterday-till-today?... I mean Saturday-till-Sunday... Well, whatever number you guess, it's probably more than that. I slept a grand total of (insert drum roll...) 19 consecutive hours! Zomg. Yes, that's right folks, that's not 1, not 2, not 3... not 17, not 18, but 19 whole hours. Well, I've been going out since Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and o wait, Saturday too, for school-related stuff. So it was pretty exhausting going out during the holidays, so when I reached home at 3.30pm++ on Saturday, I decided to sleep. And next thing I knew, It was 9.40am the next day. Now how awesome is that? Well I've amassed a large number of dreams during that period too, there was a flying dream (BEST FREAKING DREAM EVER (don't we all wish for flying dreams...) I was this dragon... and there was this piece of stretchable plastic elastic that I needed to stretch to catch the wind so I can actually glide... and I was crashing in people's homes, and this lady shot at me with a shotgun... and I reached the end and was chased by bigger dragons... and I got caught in this bubble of weird things that the big dragon dude shot out, and it affected me by... somehow but I forgot. Anyway nice dream is nice), a dream about my grandfather (who has gone on to a better place) being awesome, and I remembered another one this morning, but dreams fade kinda fast, so o well. It was fun sleeping so long, you people should try once in awhile. Though there's some side effects to it, namely err... feeling really really hungry for missing a meal, but then again you grow taller from sleeping, so all is well. Well I heard you can grow up to 2cm sleeping, then in the course of the day you shrink back down, so now we know that we should measure our heights in the morning. I was pondering also, what's the use of measuring heights? So we can tower over our peers? I heard taller people succeed more in life, cause people look up to them, literally, so does that mean the extra 2cm in our sleep is beneficial in our working lives? Before the big client meeting, we must all sleep alot so that we can be looked up to by our clients and hopefully secure the deal? Dunno if it works. Sleep is good =)

More random short posts

Today, a beetle landed on my dinner. It flew around, attracted to the light of the computer screen, and happily procceded to land in my bowl of dinner. I picked it up and took care of it. Then I had to throw away some vegetables =( but then again, one cannot be too clean or he'll be susceptible to many infections later on in life. Insects are a good source of proteins.

In other news, chilli tossing is bad. Especially if you miss your target. And hit the wrong one.

Hrmm?

I've been visiting this blog alot, and was wondering why the bugger who owns it has stopped updating in a long time. Then I realised who the bugger was. -_-"

Weæk

It's been a week since the last post, a thursday ago that I actually bothered to spend time writing on this web log that few read. Actually, the last real post was on August 19. Man that was a long time ago. Over these past few days, I've constantly thought of and reminded myself to update the blog, yet nothing happens. I guess I can blame it on one thing - weakness. It is currently a week of holidays, or so they call it. A short break before the shit hits the fan, the calm before the storm, the build-up to the climax. With the beginning of this week, another kind of weakness overcomes me. I guess I'm not ready yet, I'm not strong enough, it's not yet time.

I guess I can only find time and motivation to write when I actually go to school and interact with people, rather than staying at home and wasting the days away. So don't expect anything on days when I dont go to school. Oh, and I've reached the second phase of my blogging mode. As you can see from the posts since August 19 till now, it is wayy alot slacker than before. I'll probably post less, it is really tiring (as if I'm not tired enough) to post so frequently.

Today, I made a new friend, if you count that as one, but you probably wouldn't, so yea nothing much happened today.

Oh, and I found a therapeutic game. Here you go. What's your highscore? Mines 28582950 (only).

Oh, and I found an awesome chinese drama serial - Mondays to Fridays, 7pm, Channel 8 (Free-to-air). It is set in Malaysia, and is chock full of Malaysians, not that I'm complaining, it is always refreshing to see new faces. The main actor guy looks "cute", according to multiple sources, and the female cast is pleasant enough. The acting is of a decent standard, and the chinese accent is awesome (think Mark Lee's accent in Ah Long). What makes the series awesome is the outrageous plot, coupled with highly exaggerated acting by the cast. And the cute guy. Anyways, the series is halfway through, 13 eps out of 26, so there's still time to watch the show. And from the show, directed at whomever who wants to contemplate suicide because of terminal illnesses, here's a (not exact) quote: "Because I fear death, I'm going to take my own life... Wait... that doesn't make sense."

Oh that reminds me, I've just completed an anime series - Tower of Druaga. The last two episodes were abit hard to come by, but in the end I managed to get them. I won't say much, as this isn't an anime blog, but this series was very enjoyable, considering the reputation of the producers of the series, and considering the genre of the show - video game adaptations. Well, thinking about it, it is actually very well done. Good job. But... there's a sequel to the series, and guess when it's out? July 2009. Err ya, that's slightly less than a year to go. O well good things need time to produce. Let's see if I'm still an anime fan when that comes.
